Dallas, TX – August 13, 2018 – Associa, the industry’s largest community management company, has donated up to an additional $25,000 to assist homeowners affected by the California fires through Associa’s national non-profit organization, Associa Cares.
The funds are being divided equally to provide assistance to the American Red Cross, as well as being distributed to the Lake Elsinore Rotary Club to support the Rotary District 5330 Foundation, which helps the Animal Friends of the Valley animal shelter that is caring for pets and animals of evacuated residents in the Red Cross shelters.
Associations Equity Management, an Associa company and local California branch, is also hosting a pet supply drive for the Animal Friends of the Valley animal shelter to gather food and resources for the pets affected by the devastating fires. “The recent California wildfires are the largest in the state’s history,” stated Andrew Fortin, Associa Cares president. “Associa and Associa Cares wanted to continue to support the residents and first responders. Our response effort is now statewide, and anyone whose home has been impacted can apply for a grant. We also wanted to help the loved ones that are sometimes forgotten during times of crisis. We are working with the Animal Friends of the Valley animal shelter to ensure the safety and well- being of the evacuated animals. Our local branch is also hosting a pet supply drive to gather items that will help make the beloved pets feel a bit more at home.”
