POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – May 20, 2015 – Associa New York recently donated relief funds to Anna Caputo, mother of local staff member Tonel Maresco, who suffered a devastating house fire. The contribution was possible through Associa Cares, the philanthropic arm of Associa.
The fire on March 23 destroyed Caputo’s home in White Plains and all of her belongings. She made it out safely but lost everything she owned. Associa New York immediately notified Associa Cares of her tremendous loss and Maresco was recently presented with a $2500 check to help her mother get back on her feet. Associa Cares relies on volunteers from national and local committees to help identify people in both Associa and non-Associa managed communities affected by tragedies.
“We are saddened to hear about incidents such as these, especially when they hit so close to home, but glad we do our best to help those who need it most,” said Associa New York President Fred Rodriguez.
