DALLAS, Texas – June 1, 2016 – Associa is proud to announce Andrew Fortin as the president of the Associa Cares board of directors. Associa Cares is the firm’s non-profit agency set up to aid families who have experienced a catastrophe at home such as a flood, fire or tornado. The organization structure includes a board of directors, national committee and local company committees. In 2015, Associa Cares donated more than $350,000 to families across the country.
“Andrew is a natural choice for this position as he currently serves Associa in an external communications role and he’s intimately involved with crisis situations that call on Associa Cares for assistance,” says Associa Executive Vice President Helen Carona. “I’ve been serving on the board for a number of years and I’m excited to have a leader with such a deep understanding of the industry and remarkable interpersonal skills.”
Fortin is the senior vice president of external affairs and oversees Associa’s public affairs, media relations, government affairs and corporate citizenship efforts. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Central Michigan University and earned his Juris Doctorate from The Catholic University of America.
