Dallas, TX – July 31, 2018 – Associa, the industry’s largest community management company, has earmarked up to $50,000 to assist homeowners affected by the Northern California fires through Associa’s national non-profit organization, Associa Cares.
With more than 880 residences demolished and hundreds more damaged, the devastating Carr Fire, which is rapidly sweeping across Redding and other parts of Shasta County, has become the seventh most-destructive fire in California history. The Ranch and River fires in Mendocino County have burned more than 74,400 acres and continue to damage additional structures.
“As the fires rage across Northern California, Associa Cares wants to provide assistance to as many residents as possible during this difficult time,” stated Andrew Fortin, Associa Cares president. “The donated funds will help with initial relief efforts and be available for direct grants to those who have lost their homes, have been displaced by the fires, or forced to evacuate. The entire Associa family will keep the residents of Northern California in our thoughts as we continue to hope that the fires will be extinguished very soon.”
Associa Cares funds are distributed to families of Associa-managed and non-Associa managed communities. To donate to Associa Cares or apply for assistance, please visit our website at http://www.associacares.com/.
